Auto dealer handing car keys to happy customers

Amazon Autos dealer requirements

Here’s what dealerships need to know about the key requirements for selling with Amazon Autos.
Who is eligible to participate?
Amazon Autos is committed to partnering with dealers who share our dedication to providing excellent customer experiences.

Participating dealers must:
  • Operate a licensed U.S. dealership
  • Have physical dealership locations in supported markets
  • Be an authorized OEM dealer for new vehicles
  • Complete dealer onboarding
New-vehicle participation depends on OEM and market availability. Used and CPO inventory can also be part of the program, provided the vehicles meet applicable legal and regulatory requirements. Used and CPO vehicles listed on Amazon Autos must be 10 years old or newer and have 100,000 miles or fewer.

Pricing
We’re dedicated to creating a clear, consistent shopping experience for customers. That’s why Amazon Autos is built to make transparent, up-front pricing simple. Our pricing tools give dealers the ability to:

  • Set their own prices. Dealers control their advertised Seller Price on Amazon Autos.
  • Configure their pricing. Our flexible tools allow dealers to include or exclude fees in the listed price, consistent with applicable law and dealers’ own compliance strategies.
  • Show customers the full picture. Pricing is itemized so customers can see exactly what’s included — vehicle price, dealer fees, incentives, and applicable taxes and government fees — before they commit.
Amazon Autos integrates with trusted partners that dealers already work with in-store. Some integrations are required for partnering with Amazon Autos, while others are up to your discretion.
Listings and product information
Amazon Autos integrates with your IMS and DMS to help populate real-time inventory information. Complete, accurate listings help customers compare vehicles, understand what is available, and move forward with confidence. Required vehicle and listing data includes:
  • VIN: Confirms the exact vehicle customers are reviewing
  • Make, model, and model year: Helps customers quickly find vehicles that match their search
  • Trim and options: Shows the features and packages that can influence purchase decisions
  • Mileage and condition: Gives customers the context they expect when evaluating used and CPO vehicles
  • Pricing: Supports a clear, consistent shopping experience
  • Location: Helps customers understand where the vehicle is available for pickup
  • Images: High-quality images that meet listing quality guidelines
